If President Biden chooses not to run for election, what does that do to planning for Democratic presidential hopefuls?

One is it is very early, as he said, to formally announce their legal reasons why you shouldn't there are political reasons why you want to put that kind of announcement off.

I don't know that Donald Trump buys into it.

Why in the world, would you have those documents? Why would a former President need those documents? What was his -- did he think it was cool to have them? Did he have an intent to do something with them?

This is appalling from a national security standpoint, and it underscores the problem with the former President, which is he has absolutely no regard for rules or laws or norms or institutions.

As the Judge pointed out, these aren't his documents; these documents belong to the American people.

The economy is challenged because of inflation. Republicans thought they had clear sailing to a big year. Trump has complicated that.

Yes, and so that's what makes us unusual, it also makes it dangerous.

There are going to be a fair number of people, particularly in the Republican Party, who believe that he is a victim here.

They must feel very sure that they have something here. I don't think this is a fishing expedition.

I do agree, I would be stunned if anybody in the White House, including the President knew.

More. Because he wants to make himself the victim and we saw this when he lost the election.

Huge. I mean, this has never been done before in the history of this country, and so the idea that they would raid the home of a former President and search the home of a former President is obviously as big a stakes as you can have.

If he plunges himself into the middle of these midterm elections, he could change the equation in a dramatic way.

I think he will. Yes, I think you know, he's not very subtle. He generally signals what he's going to do. And he's been signaling that he's going to do this.

It could be shrewd, or it could end disastrously and that's and that's the danger.

This could be a very tough year for Democrats that are gale force winds blowing in against Democrats.

It's certainly been smart in the short run if the goal is to nominate extreme candidates who you think will be easier to beat.

You know, at the end of that day... he addressed the mob that was threatening Pence's life. And he said, 'You're very special. We love you.'

I think that we are so hardened and we are so polarized... it shows you just how deep this polarization runs.

It's that he doesn't believe in rules and laws and norms and institutions and he thinks that people who do are suckers.

The degree to which he knowingly unleashed this violence on his own Vice President was a revelation.
