This is a critical time to be looking at the issues as we begin drafting this legislation.

We need to make passenger rail work.

I am a strong advocate for Amtrak service and passenger rail in general.

Amtrak's long distance services are a critical economic lifeline to many small towns throughout our nation.

It is insulting for Amtrak to be cutting jobs they say are not needed and then outsourcing the same jobs to low-wage, no-benefit contractors.

How do we stop that?

There is a lot of reasons mistakes are made. The problem, the bigger problem, is if mistakes were made for financial reasons.

I am not sure what accountability means if accountability means, Mr. Muilenburg, you received a $15 million bonus after these planes crashed.

Something went wrong in the certification process of this plane. Either the FAA certification process itself is at fault, Boeing is at fault in their role in the process, or both.

346 people died in 2 crashes of Boeing 737 MAX planes that should not have been certified to fly by the FAA.

We want to be the leader in innovation in all areas.

A delay in rulemaking is a delay in safety.

I think it is critically important, especially as we are looking at what are we going to do to get cars off the road.

I firmly expect the EPA to do its job engaging with the public at this event.

We need the EPA to use the updated IRIS value for EtO to set a strong new Federal emissions standard that protects Americans all across our country from this dangerous carcinogen.

I strongly encourage you to consider hosting markups and hearings on H.R. 2501 and H.R. 3332.

I am concerned that the federal government does not currently do enough to incentivize basic chemical research.

I request the committee's support for this bill to ensure that EPA decisions on this matter use the best science available.

I urge the committee to promote healthcare price transparency as it prepares to bring healthcare legislation to the House floor.

After years of breathing air with an unsafe cancer-causing pollutant, my constituents and others across the country cannot wait.

I introduced H.R. 1165, the EtO is Toxic Act. This bill requires the EPA to take IRIS assessment data into consideration when setting an EtO emissions standard.

The EPA must not be allowed to undermine the integrity of scientific process by ignoring established research methods that may reveal unfavorable results.

The probable cancer risk posed by EtO is 30 times greater than previously estimated.

EtO is a known carcinogen.

We need to make sure we are not slowing down the research in the advancement of connected autonomous vehicles here in our country.
