I call a mob marijuana mentality and who are engaged in what I would refer to as a marijuana mania.

Bobby Rush is a former U.S. Representative from Illinois, serving from January 5, 1993, to January 3, 2021. A member of the Democratic Party, Rush was known for his advocacy on issues related to children's safety and consumer protection. He worked closely with colleagues to strengthen agencies responsible for safeguarding children and emphasized the need for legislative changes to ensure the safety of products available to families. It seems to me that many States, including mine, are stampeding to legalize both medicinal and recreational use of cannabis.
I believe more than ever that it is important that we prioritize the research upon, not only the benefits, but also on the risk of marijuana.
As Chairman Rush said the other day, climate change represents only a tremendous threat to our future, but also a tremendous opportunity.
I want to congratulate Congressmen Tonko and Peters and Olson and Stefanik for putting this legislation together.
This HVAC initiative is a triple win--for jobs, for consumers, and the environment.
If Florida expanded Medicaid, we would draw down almost $14 billion for our state over the next five years alone.
So I really can't stress enough the importance of having participated in Medicaid expansion and certainly, hope that it continues for years to come.
