For these Americans and so many others, change has not come fast enough. Some are frustrated, some are angry.

Despite our hardships, our Union is strong. We do not give up. We do not quit. We do not allow fear or division to break our spirit.

A decade of irresponsible choices has created a fiscal hole that will not be solved by a typical Washington budget process that puts partisanship and parochial interests above our shared national interest.

With all due deference to separation of powers, last week the Supreme Court reversed a century of law that I believe will open the flood gates for special interests including foreign corporations to spend without limit in our election.

I want a partnership.

This proposal is simple and straightforward.

We will not rest until we build an economy that's ready for America's future.

This will provide a powerful short term incentive to create good jobs.

We want a system where you can't be denied care if you have a preexisting condition.

We're not going to stop fighting to give our kids a world-class education.

There's no reason why Europe or China should have the fastest trains when we can build them right here in America.

I'm not going to walk away from these efforts.

Creating jobs has to be our number-one priority in 2010.

Job creation is 'our No. 1 focus for 2010.'

So tonight we set a new goal. We will double our exports over the next five years, an increase that will support two million jobs.
