A member of the Democratic Party, he previously represented Illinois in the U.S. Senate from 2005 to 2008 and served in the Illinois State Senate from 1997 to 2004. Nearly 200 nations came together as a strong, enduring framework to set the world on a course to a low-carbon future.
What I think we've been able to achieve is practical and constructive efforts where our interests intersect.
Our meeting here is an opportunity to discuss the breadth and importance of the U.S.-China relationship.
