Adam Kinzinger
The Public Record
Adam Kinzinger is a former U.S. Representative for Illinois's 16th congressional district, serving from 2013 to 2023. A member of the Republican Party, Kinzinger gained national attention for his outspoken views on various political issues, particularly his criticism of former President Donald Trump. He was one of the few Republicans to support the impeachment of Trump and served on the House Select Committee investigating the January 6th Capitol riot.
Yes, I do. I think we have gotten lazy in assuming that democracy will always survive.
I do think Kevin has failed to tell the truth to the Republicans and to the American people, and it pains me to say it.
You recently commented that the administration now believes that Federal support for the existing nuclear fleet is key to our climate goals.
While the State Department is the lead agency, in terms of implementation, DOE is required to play a consultative role in supporting the U.S. efforts to work with Europeans to increase their security.
If they shutter, the lost revenue would be devastating to my communities and make it extremely difficult to pay for high-quality schools, hospitals, emergency personnel, and other critical services.
Preserving the existing nuclear fleet will take a concerted national approach.
This is leadership. This is integrity. This is Liz Cheney, and I'm damn proud to support her.
This is lies versus truth. What she has been removed for is making it uncomfortable and being consistent. And God bless her for having the consistency to tell the truth.
Donald Trump was out of power after January 6th. And then Kevin McCarthy went down, probably with Scalise and put the paddles on him and resurrected him politically back to life.
Right now, it`s basically the Titanic. We`re like, you know, in this -- in the middle of this slow sea.
Cheney is saying exactly what Kevin McCarthy said the day of the insurrection. She`s just consistently been saying it.
We are like, you know, in the middle of this slow sink, we have a band playing on the deck telling everybody it`s fine, and meanwhile, who, as I have said, Donald Trump is running around trying to find women`s cloth and get on the first…
I truly, truly, Emily, believe that maybe 10 of my fellow colleagues in the House believe that the election was stolen, maybe 10.
Every Republican member of Congress needs to go on the record as to how they will vote on congressman Liz Cheney.
It shows a desire to belong to a tribe overtakes a desire to actually lead people to a better future.
It is long past time that elected officials, finance and business organizations and environmental lobbyists put down pitchforks and come to the table and have honest discussions about the future of our energy.
I have consistently supported a true all-of-the-above energy approach, and I understand the fundamental importance of preserving our resources and natural heritage.
I believe anyone that joins this caucus should have their committees stripped too like for Marjorie Taylor Greene already done, and the Republican Conference should expel them from conference participation.
Last night, Congressman Adam Kinzinger of Illinois became the first Republican lawmaker to publicly call on Congressman Matt Gaetz to resign following the revelation that he is the subject of a federal sex crimes investigation.
I fear this is due to embarrassment over the results of the study or flaws in the study.
