Congressman Kinzinger voted to impeach president Trump for inciting an insurrection at the Capitol that day.

We may have our deep differences on other policy issues, but we are all Americans today, and we thank you for holding that line.

We still don`t know exactly what happened. Why? Because many in my party have treated this as just another partisan fight.

Look, it`s childish. We`re doing big things right now. We`re getting to the answers of the worst attack on the Capitol since the War of 1812.

I`m a Republican dedicated to conservative values, but I swore an oath to uphold and defend the Constitution. And while this is not the position I expected to be in, or sought out, when duty calls, I will always answer.

I won`t name names, but, yes, I do have that suspicion. If you have members of Congress who were involved in nurturing an insurrection, heck, yeah, we need to know.
