Jim Risch is an American politician serving as the junior United States senator from Idaho since 2009. A member of the Republican Party, Risch previously held the position of lieutenant governor of Idaho from 2006 to 2009 and served in the Idaho State Senate from 2002 to 2006. Throughout his career, he has focused on issues such as government accountability and land management, reflecting the interests of his constituents in Idaho.
My problem is that when people express this great concern and hand-wringing that Iran seems to have, they don't do anything about it.
I think it's important that we speak with a very strong voice, and you can always point to the independence of Congress as you try to negotiate with our friends around the globe.
The only problem with that, Mr. Burns, and I agree with you 100 percent, the only problem with that is, we're in the same position we were a year ago.
Ahmadinejad mocks the attempts by us, he demeans them, and if the objective--which I guess it is--is to stop them from enriching, it has had, seemingly, the exact opposite effect.

I cannot support protection at the cost of access, sacrificing recreational or hunting opportunities or impacting state endowment lands.
Let there be no mistake about it, Congressman Simpson is the person who has done--has put in all the hours on this.
Those three are three areas that, in the Roadless rule, when you and I worked on that that we designated for what is essentially wilderness designation.
You know in Idaho we have the largest block, I believe, of wilderness in the continental United States of contiguous wilderness area.
Together we have worked on collaborative conservation measures before including the Idaho Roadless Rule.
