Jim Risch is an American politician serving as the junior United States senator from Idaho since 2009. A member of the Republican Party, Risch previously held the position of lieutenant governor of Idaho from 2006 to 2009 and served in the Idaho State Senate from 2002 to 2006. Throughout his career, he has focused on issues such as government accountability and land management, reflecting the interests of his constituents in Idaho.
They are not in compliance with the sanctions now. Did they give you any timeframe as to when they would comply with the sanctions?
I do not think anyone can question your knowledge and understanding of what has happened in Iraq.
How can we make a judgment on this without having actual numbers of what the cutback is going to be?
I appreciate that. I will have to say you are going to be challenged, I think, inasmuch as the size and the complexity of this operation confronts you.
The Kurds seem to be doing very well on their own. The construction that is going on there far outstrips what is being done in Baghdad and other parts of Iraq.
If we can't figure out how we take care of our waste, how we take care of your garbage, how can we do anything as a government?
I was really looking forward to the report, being from Idaho. We're very anxious to have a permanent repository identified.
I think saying that I'm deeply disappointed is an understatement, and I think that's true for the American people.
If you can't do that, then where are you going to go? Here's the county commissioner, which is the highest local authority that there is, and they say, 'Come on, bring it on,' and we won't do it, so.
I believe that my generation has been irresponsible in setting the stage for the financial condition our country is in.
If we do not address these issues now and create the environment in which entrepreneurship can flourish, surpassed and unfortunately perhaps in more environments that help startups will be created elsewhere rather than in the United States.
