This is extraordinarily frustrating. You know what the situation is, as far as us writing a bill this year. We are not going to have the money.

I do not see any leadership, yesterday or today, as far as submitting an honest proposal before Congress.

we need to get some answers as to what the real substantial proposals are, how we are going to pay for them, and how the taxpayer is going to be affected.

the first stimulus bill was a one-time shot in the arm by the administration, and I think they botched it by not focusing on what was needed or what could be done.

the administration didn't propose a budget for 2012. They really proposed a lot of pie in the sky, a pipe-dream concept paper for what you would love to see in a reauthorization bill.

But you didn't request them.
