I support these provisions and we have included them in the reauthorization bill I recently introduced with Senators Collins, Feinstein, Byrd, Voinovich, Ensign and Alexander.

We must redress this situation.

We want to ensure that we don't enact provisions that would cause some of the best schools to drop out of the program.

I hope that this hearing will lead to a new day of cooperation, because we need the cooperation of industry to solve this problem.
