I would point out, of the $77.4 billion request for fiscal year 2012, $28.6 billion is for Pell grants.

It is an invasion into the programs that we have developed to help poor kids get a decent education.

That is coming from Governors and chief State school officers having the courage to do the right thing.

I could not agree more.

We have to keep that maximum Pell Grant at $5,550.

So, I guess we have a choice to make. Do we cut these kids off at the knees?

We are looking forward to the reauthorization of the Workforce Investment Act (WIA) so that low-skilled adults and individuals with disabilities have access to the education and training they need to be successful in the 21st century…
