I believe it is both this Committee's and the SBA's responsibility to ensure that they are not hamstrung by unnecessary red tape.

We just did a roundtable on Title II conservation for the farm bill. I did that in Iowa this last weekend.

I want to start my questions off by addressing the issues from the last Congress, and where so many of us got really concerned with some of the loans that were made.

A critical component of this Committee's work is to establish policies that promote rather than discourage entrepreneurship in this country.

Steep regulatory costs and the sheer volume of regulations that come from Federal agencies year after year too often prevent a would-be entrepreneur from ever taking the first step.

I look forward to passing meaningful legislation that will support small businesses and allow them to do what they do best.

We want to make sure we are recapturing those dollars.

Bio BDO is not only better for the environment, but producing it in the U.S. also supports our local farmers right there in Iowa.
