I want to salute the passion of the gentleman from Alaska (Chairman Young) and the gentleman from Florida (Mr. Mica) and the gentleman from Minnesota (Mr. Oberstar) and the gentleman from Illinois (Mr. Lipinski). I know how much all of them care about the safety and security of Americans flying in the skies. This bipartisan conference bill is a great bill. My hat is off to all of these gentlemen. I hope that this bill passes this House unanimously. I want to thank President Bush for his input into moving this issue along. He will enthusiastically sign this bill. Finally, I hope that none of us ever forget those brave passengers on United Flight 93, an airplane that was heading directly for this Capitol. Were it not for those brave passengers, we might not be standing here today.
