As a representative of a rural district--not as big as some of them but nonetheless pretty darn big, 12 to 13,000 square miles, 24 counties--where coverage can often be dismal or nonexistent, I get around my district all the time.
I want to get this bill passed. I want to get it out of this committee. I want to get it on the floor.
Modernization of this Army-owned line would yield more precise process controls, automation, environmental controls, and a greatly reduced footprint.

As Co-Chair of the Rural Broadband Caucus, you mentioned, I think, Mr. Berry, that a number of us sent a letter to the President advocating for the inclusion of rural broadband in any infrastructure package.
We have gotten bipartisan support to do something about the USF and to reform it so that we really can bring that service to folks in theses rural areas.
