Bottom line here is that if Josh Turek gets his way and is the next United States senator, I think he wants this to be the last year for the Iowa pork tent at the Iowa State Fair, and I don’t think that’s right.

We know this is a policy that is an over-regulatory policy, Californians trying to tell Iowans what they know how to do already best, which is raise animals responsibly.

I want to make sure that our Iowans who are fighting, anyone who’s fighting, is resourced properly and has what they need.

I would say both parties are blaming for where we are right now in terms of government spending.

Let me say, I support our war fighters in this mission.

I will work with anyone on any issue that’s important for my state and my constituents.

This is about supporting Iowa family farmers, not the big guys.

Iowans grow the best pork products in the country, and we deserve to have access to other state markets.

I think Iowans always expect you to go out and earn their vote. And that’s exactly how I’m running my campaign for U.S. Senate.

The status quo of healthcare is a failure — it’s way too expensive, premiums are too high, and not accessible enough.

You either stand with the radical vegan activists who don’t know the first thing about farming, or you’re like me: You stand with Iowa agriculture.

“One of the most insulting parts of the campaign, in my mind, is the suggestion that our farmers only care about the bottom line, that they don’t care about the welfare of the animals that they are raising,” Hinson said.

Some Democrats in Washington see this as their greatest opportunity this year to take back not only the Senate seat and our congressional seats, but the governor’s mansion as well.
