Because my impression is generally that there have been fewer programs for women in our prison system, both in the State level and Federal level.
In principle, the answer to that is absolutely yes because we do it through the Vet Centers.
This legislation will ensure that U.S. residents who are Filipino World War II veterans receive the full benefits that they have earned through their service.
These bills do a lot of good, from improving dental health services and making mental health services available to veterans and their families.
We owe all servicemembers and veterans, no matter when and where they served, the care they need and the benefits they have earned, and these measures would help fulfill that commitment.
I hope that you will be supportive of this kind of a change because they are in a situation over which we have no control.
IAVA supports this draft legislation, which would expand eligibility for reimbursement for emergency medical treatment to certain veterans.
It cannot just be at the time of their discharge because these things, they need to get timely reminders.
I think the Chairman's bill is a good bill and that these victims may, in fact, prefer to go to VA where maybe they feel that there is more privacy, et cetera.
So, I think it has come up a number of times, the lack of information and the need to provide information, not just once because I am sure veterans get tons of stuff that they are supposed to remember but, you know, who can.
