All of the sound science says that the Secretary of Agriculture has made the correct decision and that the border should be opened with Canada for the importation of beef and cattle under 30 months of age. This is not a health issue. It is not a health risk to human beings if the border is reopened. This is an issue of animal safety. It should be based upon sound science.
