I am so incensed by that presentation. I know my friend is passionate for his folks. I live in a majority minority county. And if you want to know, if any folks are watching this, and they want to know why we can't get things done together, they could use that presentation as the expose of why we are divided instead of united. How dare you suggest that folks don't care about your community. How dare you suggest that race is the basis of this. How dare you, when I sat in my committee working on this issue hour after hour and not one Member brought this up, not one Member brought this to the committee. I am incensed. Mr. Speaker, we owe each other better than that. You all are better than that. This institution is better than that. I know the gentleman is passionate, but that kind of vitriol is not going to get us to where I know you and I both want us to be. Mr. Speaker, I reserve the balance of my time.
