Right now the world is on the edge of global upheaval, and today's hearing focuses on none of our farmer's critical issues, not one.

If we would return to the previous Administration's energy policy, we wouldn't be seeing the cost of a barrel of oil doing this.

The problem is this war on fossil fuels has caused the input prices to do this.

We must become energy independent, and biofuels are ready to fill that gap both domestically and overseas.

Biofuels are a low-cost, low-carbon complement for other fuel sources, and it can be net carbon negative in the next several years.

But I would like to specifically ask a question about the CRP program. Right now the biggest problem in that program is flexibility.

That whole farm bill is an economic project to ensure that Americans have a safe and efficient food source, and in fact, that is what this Committee needs to be laser focused on.

We are using the taxpayers' dollars to do that, but then the result of that is we have these empty grocery shelves.

Well, what we need to do is we need to figure out one, all of a sudden in this new Administration it is all about climate, and we are seeing food prices skyrocket.

We may be so fixated on one issue that all of a sudden, we lose the whole intent of why we are here.

I hear them talking about, like, the cost of gasoline and finding gasoline, and the cost of everything.

The cost of fertilizer, Mr. Chairman. Alarm bells have been ringing.

So, yes. If you could get with our office and let's address this problem and see if something can be done, that would be most appreciated.

Well, from my economic experience, supply and demand is what guides everything.

USDA would have preferred that EPA maintain the uses of chlorpyrifos that meet its own safety standard.

USDA is committed to finding a collaborative, science-based approach to conserving wildlife and managing our public lands and forests.

This project, which is required for environmental mitigation as part of the Savannah Harbor Expansion Project, or SHEP, is an issue with which my community has been at odds with the Corps of Engineers for more than six years.

This ruling was a win for our local communities, and I am hopeful for a positive outcome that maintains the pool and the required lock and dam.

To cause the view from beautiful downtown Augusta to be that of areas of dry mud and silt instead of a flowing river would be unconscionable.

This new religion of climate change, if we do everything that the Biden Administration says...

The energy policy of this Administration is so incompetent.
