As I say, my colleagues on the other side, the Democrats and their leaders, they had a choice of topics tonight. They could have talked about anything they wanted to on this eve of what will be one of the most historic State of the Union addresses in the history of our country. My fellow Members, for almost 2 years now, we have been in a shooting war, fighting to rid the world of terrorism, and to bring liberty and freedom to the long-suffering Iraqi people.

In my home State of Georgia the insurance commission announced that for the average 27 year old no longer on their parents' policy, premiums are set to rise anywhere from 85 to 198 percent.
If our goal was to improve the rate of individuals who have insurance in this country, why on Earth would we deliberately make it more expensive to obtain?
