Well, let me repeat that, because I know it sounds unbelievable. It is even more unbelievable than the gentleman from Texas just stated. Medicaid once paid $5,000, not $1,000, but $5,336 for a prescription that only cost the pharmacist $88 to obtain. Now, was that a mistake on the part of the pharmacist? Possibly. We are not trying to single out any individual. But the point is that there is so much waste, fraud, and abuse; and this oversight is needed. We absolutely need it.
