That is categorically untrue.

It made no sense to cut $300 billion out of a program that 29 percent of Medicare beneficiaries had chosen.

I really have to commend the FDA on that and realizing the desire and need for new antibiotics and acting quickly to implement the program.

Let me first commend Chairman Upton and our colleague from Colorado, Ms. DeGette, for spearheading this bipartisan endeavor.
