I stand tonight to support the gentleman from Georgia (Mr. Lewis), my colleague, the honorable and distinguished Representative from the 5th District. I want to say how proud I am to, as a freshman Member, to be able to support what he has been working on for these past 15 years and supporting H.R. 3491, the creation of a National Museum of African Culture and History. And I just want to tell the gentleman how much I appreciate what he has done and how much respect I have for him. I have said often to her that the gentleman from Georgia (Mr. Lewis) has been one of the nicest and kindest Members of this body to me, a freshman, reaching out on many occasions to make me feel warm and accepted. So I do take great pleasure in standing here tonight and supporting this.
