I have had relatives who have had problems losing jobs and not being able to have health insurance, and that is why the Republican bill and virtually every bill I know guarantees portability. As my good friend knows, there is bill after bill after bill already introduced, attempting to solve the problems, but the resolution that my Democratic friends agreed to defend tonight was not about good goals, it was not about good anecdotes. It was the elements of the Clinton plan.”
