I rise today to honor Chad Nimmer for his recent appointment to the USDA Farm Service Agency Georgia State Committee. Mr. Nimmer is a former Georgia State House Representative from District 178 in Blackshear, Georgia, who I had the honor of serving with. FSA State committees oversee conservation and agricultural programs for their State. Chad's background in timber harvesting, land management, and conservation makes him an exceptional choice for this important role in our State. He is a recognized leader in the forest industry, owning his own successful timber company. His dedication to rural communities and stewardship of our natural resources makes him an invaluable resource to our State. I thank Mr. Nimmer for his public service thus far and wish him well in his new position.
