Let me say that this House has taken a lot of action on a bipartisan basis to try to analyze 9/11, some of it that is appropriate to have in the open, and some of it is secret. It has been bipartisan. It has also been bicameral. But we, Members of Congress, Democrats and Republicans, we want to avoid any possible terrorism, not just America but anywhere in the world. So it is in all of our interests at this time to keep the shoulders to the grinder and to fight this war in a unified manner, and keep the partisan politics in a back room somewhere and let us just get this job done. This is exactly what our enemy wants to see us do. They want to see us so confused within our own government. They want to see us like Siamese fighting fish, fighting each other within our own government.

The left has kept saying all along, why didn't the president just call, pick up the phone and ask the FBI or the Justice Department if he was being wiretapped.

This is serious. We've got to unite. We need to quit the circular firing squad.
