What Mr. McCain did to the Republican Party today is a guy who was the standard bearer in '08, somebody I worked for, somebody that all of us have worked for at one time or another. You know, he let us down, he let us down as a party.

His tone at 4:00 a.m. Wednesday morning was magnificent. And I was in the room and I can tell you, it was an inspirational American moment.

This frees us up now because there's $840 billion in tax relief in here that now we can start talking about something that we're really passionate about.

He's the kind of optimistic guy who's always going to say, you're going to be very proud of the wall, we're going to build the wall and Mexico is going to pay it.
