I want to point out also under the Democrats, we had an 8-year investigation of Labor Secretary Ray Donovan and a 7-year investigation of HUD Secretary Samuel Pierce, and on those, I do not think there were any convictions. Starr has not been on the case 4 years, has spent $24 million, and had 14 convictions or guilty pleas. If we could get cooperation in a bipartisan manner, we could probably cut the time and the dollar amount in half.

The problems here on the day of the Kennedy files being released is that the American people just really don't trust any of us.
What Mr. McCain did to the Republican Party today is a guy who was the standard bearer in '08, somebody I worked for, somebody that all of us have worked for at one time or another. You know, he let us down, he let us down as a party.
