I yield myself such time as I may consume. Mr. Speaker, let me say to my distinguished friend from California that I would like to move the CDC and would ask him to cosponsor that legislation if we could do similar to the CDC what we are doing to the NIH, because I agree with you in that I think it's very important.

Well, I have to say this, number one, the American people always have the right to question the work habits and the work venues of anybody who's elected to office.
These kids are not disrespecting any flag. They're not disrespecting any anthem. They are going down to their government and they are petitioning for redress of grievance.
What Mr. McCain did to the Republican Party today is a guy who was the standard bearer in '08, somebody I worked for, somebody that all of us have worked for at one time or another. You know, he let us down, he let us down as a party.
His tone at 4:00 a.m. Wednesday morning was magnificent. And I was in the room and I can tell you, it was an inspirational American moment.
