“I want to say another thing about this National Health Care Board. Along with running health care in the United States, in the process of doing that, they have usurped the States' power, because the McCarran-Ferguson Act says that States will run health care and, to the degree that they are running it, the Federal Government will stay out of it. This plan repeals the McCarran-Ferguson Act and, because of that, your State legislature will no longer be in a position to have health care reform ideas, because they will be basically a paper tiger. All the power will be with these unelected bureaucrats on the National Health Care Board.”
