A can of soda, 35 percent taxes. A gallon of gas, 54 percent tax. When taxpayers say, ``I am paying too much tax,'' they are saying ``I pay too much sales tax. I pay too much income taxes and tangible taxes and ad valorem taxes.'' They are not thinking about what they pay when they buy a pizza or tires or pay their phone bill. This is a tremendous problem.
