According to a nonpartisan joint committee on taxation found that the Republican tax bill will cost this country to its debt $1 trillion even when accounting for the estimated effect on economic growth.

Suffer the little children to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of God.

Yes. How many children may never see their mothers or their families again because of what this Administration has decided to do on the borders? Think about it.

It raises some very interesting, profound questions because we have a frequency on this committee of putting up--I don't see it up now, but just a tickety-tickety-tick of the growing national debt.

I first of all want to preface my remarks by just sharing with the panel that there are some good points in this legislation.

But I have a few troubling concerns here that alarm me since the Trump Administration has taken over.

It is so important that, as we move to find out how we are going to regulate this burgeoning industry, that we don't move so haphazardly that we suffocate the innovation of this industry.

Our legislation will be to set up and require that these regulatory agencies harmonize and coordinate, make that a requirement going forward.

We worked hard to put this together, this commission.

The CFPB has become a political fire pit.

President Obama is not going to be President for life.

I want to emphasize that, both the Republicans and Democrats, on this committee are willing to work together to make it easier to fuel capital growth in our markets.

I think the Fed must be very, very careful not to expose how they are going to conduct these stress tests.

We made it a commission for this very purpose.

These are concerns and worriations (sic) of the American people.

You are clearly out to destroy the CFPB.

Democrats and Republicans have to do more about black unemployment.

Do you know when you sneeze Wall Street crumbles?

I respect you and I ask that you be of service to all Americans, not just white Americans.

At some point, black unemployment has to be addressed because it is chronically twice that of white people.

I have looked at your background. You are well-prepared for this.

I am playing the race card because we have for too long allowed this condition to exist.

Are you aware that 83 percent of the President's tax cuts go to benefit just 1 percent of the American families? That is not fair at all.

I refuse to tolerate it. That is why I use language that is clear and concise.
