I have a bill that I have introduced every Congress, and I will be introducing again I believe this week or next, which is a balanced budget amendment to the Constitution that requires Congress to balance within 10 years.

It is way past time that the Bureau is held accountable to the people and gets the funding it deserves through the regular appropriations cycle.

I do want to lend my support for H.R. 4486. This bill will expand the existing preferential hiring treatment for veterans and Americans with disabilities to include election positions.
My understanding has always been that when an act of Government can deprive citizens of property or liberty, it is not a rule or regulation, it is a law, and only Congress can enact those laws.
