Unfortunately, it seems to me, that it is not shaped by the brutal reality that we are broke, and the current Administration has not allotted any dollars towards this project.
I am telling you we are very aggravated with the public money, our tax dollars, being used to buy property and then us not have our rights to be able to hunt.
I mean, I am blown away that we have to have the government tell us to communicate.
If we do not pass a bill to mandate Congressional oversight over these issues, how will the Administration... improve its current business practices
the American people seem to be sending more to Washington than they have ever sent in recent memory.
I think to make the claim to the American people that a 100 percent increase in your funding is nothing I think will fall on deaf ears, especially in my state where we have 12 percent unemployment.
Yesterday, in the Natural Resources Committee, we held an oversight hearing regarding the President's new National Ocean Policy, an Executive order to tell us how we can best use our oceans. Yesterday, it was amazing to hear those who…
When the President steps into this Chamber tonight, he will be addressing an American public that has grown weary of unfulfilled promises and empty, prepackaged rhetoric. He will be speaking to a restless Nation that grows louder than ever…
Every second of every day Washington adds another $40,000 to our national debt. In fact, by the time I finish speaking this sentence our national debt will increase another $360,000--$360,000 in one sentence. We've reached the edge of a…
If we are smart--the 2012 bill can save money, improve health and nutrition, and strengthen our economy.
The availability of fruits, vegetables, and other specialty crops is critical to the health of America's consumers.
But I think, and I respectfully disagree with you, because I know people that are losing everything they have.

I thank the gentleman from New York for yielding. I will tell you, I've been here for 5 months; and a few moments ago I was as angry as I've been in a long time because, this afternoon, we heard the injection of a Judeo-Christian event…
You will see on here that jobs are leaving the Gulf of Mexico, and they're going to the Mediterranean Sea, Egypt, Australia, Nigeria and Sierra Leone and, as we know, our favorite pick of late is Brazil. I'm saying that what we have to do…

I hold in my hand today the Constitution of the United States. It begins by saying: ``We the people of the United States, in order to form a more perfect union, establish justice, ensure domestic tranquility, provide for the common…
I didn't imagine that President Obama stated that we have to have higher gas prices as a necessary component to move America off of oil.
I just find that to ask for more money that continues to happen here, and totally be disconnected from the reality of the American hardworking people that are suffering, I think is irresponsible.
