The financial costs of distributing free food to such a large portion of American families is a substantial burden on the average American taxpayer.

The Food Stamp Program, or SNAP, is a food supplement program whose intended purpose is to assure individuals with the very lowest incomes have enough to eat.

With food stamp usage now cutting a swath well into the middle class, is it fair to ask if we were anticipating that average Americans would be buying each other their groceries through the Federal Government?

We have a responsibility to address that fraud, because if we don't, then in the end we will be able to serve fewer people.
