John Mica

John Mica is a former U.S. Representative who served Florida's 7th congressional district from 1993 to 2017. A member of the Republican Party, Mica was known for his work on transportation and infrastructure issues, playing a significant role in shaping policies related to these areas during his tenure. He was also involved in various legislative efforts aimed at improving the economy and supporting local businesses in Florida. Mica's long career in public service included a focus on constituent services and community engagement.
Unfortunately, the ranking member mentioned this, that in my district and the vast majority of Americans feel that your report was a whitewash; he said whitewash or cover-up.
Nobody has been fired. Nobody has been dismissed. No one has been arrested for the murders.
I can't tell you how many times people have said, don't let Benghazi and what happened there be swept under the table.
But again, no one held accountable to this date. That is the way Congress feels and the American people feel.
This was not a civil or commercial bankruptcy in any sense of the normal way these things are conducted.
I thought Mr. Ryan said, used the term I try not to use, 'screwed,' because it gets my wife upset, but basically that's what happened, some people got screwed here in this proceeding.
