This President's inability to lead has literally led to Americans dying. I don't think I'd ever say that about a President of the United States. This is an American tragedy.

The Everglades is the largest remaining subtropical wilderness in the United States. It is a national treasure that deserves national attention.

I encourage this committee to continue to prioritize Everglades restoration in this WRDA bill and, in particular, emphasize the importance of rehydration of the coastal wetlands in southeast Miami-Dade County.
