We don't have control of the Southern Border. The testimony from the chief says that the cartels now control the Southern Border.

I live in Miami and I have a bunch of friends in Miami. And there are a bunch of them coming and saying, 'Hey, you need to see what's going on in the Bahamas with the PRC.'

Do you think that, if we in the United States were allowing our organizations to flood Mexico and kill 100,000 Mexicans a year, do you think that they would be happy about it?

And I believe that, for far too long, we have ignored our own backyard and allowed Russia, China, Iran, adversaries of the United States, to actually make great footholds into our region.

Look, I don't think that combating China, I mean combating the PRC in South America--I do believe that is our greatest threat.

Wouldn't solar panels be the most difficult thing to defend in a military base?

Fentanyl has killed, drug overdoses has skyrocketed.

I think we need to determine, okay, whether our national security, you know, takes precedence.

That may be self-imposed on us by us.

I think that this is a multi-pronged strategic attack that does not involve kinetics.

I think that allowing it to come across the United States was a huge mistake and a failure.

I believe that resilience/readiness is really a key here, not pronouns and DEI.

We have the capacity to be energy-independent, obviously, but we also have the capacity to be energy-dominant.

I think it is emerging, though, and I can see in the future that they will probably--they could be a much more serious adversary.

China will have a much greater capacity to wage a much more effective conventional war against the United States than, say, Russia.

The Soviet Union, and now Russia, they have had like a first-class military, but it was a third-class economic power.

It is costing the U.S. taxpayer something north of $45 billion.

According to U.S. Customs and Border Protection, over 4.5 million migrants encounters have occurred at the Southwest Border since President Biden took office.

We seem to be focused on domestic violent extremists, which we should, OK, but we are--which kill four people in 2020, and we seem to be turning a blind eye to organizations that are killing tens of thousands of Americans.

So an organization that is killing over 200 Americans every single day, you have difficulty in saying that they are not terrorizing us?

I have encountered them when I have made trips to the border.

It is lawful for people to ask for asylum. That is lawful.

I am on a mission of mercy because of immigration laws and a need for comprehensive immigration reform.

The border is about as secure as it can be given the laws that we have.

I appreciate President Biden. He inherited a tough, tough job, a tough position.
