Ensuring that these agencies are properly listing and delisting species is something that is particularly important to me.

By removing species from that list that have recovered, and focusing resources on species that are still at risk, we can better prioritize our conservation efforts.

The legislation introduced by my colleagues rightly seeks to disapprove of the Fish and Wildlife Service's rules regarding the status of lesser prairie chickens and northern long-eared bats under the ESA.

China has taken advantage of fisheries on a global scale by using large fleets to harvest far from the Chinese shores.

The United States is a global leader in fishery management with some of the most highly regulated fisheries in the world.

From this information, it is clear that our domestic fisheries produce safer seafood, and honestly I would probably prefer to eat American over Chinese any day of the week.
