the status quo these days is that Western Europe imports gas from Russia, and there is a perception on the part of many that that creates a certain dependency on the part of Western Europe to Russia
But the fact is that there are irreconcilable differences between these two parts of the population.
There must be some kind of acknowledgement of the fact that the people in the eastern part of the Ukraine do not want to be part of the EU, and the people in the western part of the Ukraine do not want to be lorded over by Russia.
Just to be historically accurate, it wasn't Stalin that added the eastern part of the Ukraine. It was Lenin, and it was Khrushchev.
I support this resolution and strongly object to and condemn Russian interference in any other country, including neighboring countries.
I think the resolution is at best a half-measure that doesn't acknowledge the underlying cause or attempt to come up with a solution.
This is a critical moment for them, and we have to be on the side of those who are aspiring to self-government and individual liberty.
