Thank you for being so faithful in your attendance. This is really an important hearing.

One is we need to work on our entitlement programs to save the programs, to make sure they are going to be around for our kids and grandchildren.

We also talked about an effort to provide a more seamless transition for following the health care of military members.

find out what does not work and do less of that.

We are on track right now, over the next 25 years, to actually be spending more money in DOD for compensation and benefits than we are going to have.

Sometimes people just want to know that they are valued and we need to do a better job of that.

we just need the Administration to do its job.

We are trying to do a whole lot better than that.

One of the things we do in our State is every year our congressional delegation co-hosts a veterans' summit.

We call it the PRIME Act, P-R-I-M-E Act.

The work that we do here for the American people is hugely important.

But sometimes, unfortunately, things do go wrong, as we know, and it is our duty to ask whether we could have done better.

I am pleased to welcome both of our witnesses here this morning, and thank you for your stewardship and thank you for your input.

I wear two hats today. One is I think of myself as Chairman Boxer's wingman.

That is why the President has issued his Executive Order, as you know, on chemical facilities.

I think self-reporting can be effective, but only when there is full cooperation from industry.

All right. Now, if I had a member of my family who worked at one of those agencies, could they participate in the program?

What is the role for the government to contribute and to be responsible legislatively, with our tax code, our regulations, just setting a good example?

I was just at their recycling center where they recycle all--we have single-stream in Delaware.

I think he said, when good business policy and good cyber policy are one and the same, we know we are on the right track.

We like those business models very much. We like those efforts, and we are encouraging more.

I am just going to think out loud.

We are trying to set a good example. We are trying to partner with the Postal Service.

It should not be like do as I say but do as I do.
