Those taxes do not simply disappear. They are reflected in higher rents, deferred maintenance, and fewer new housing opportunities for Delaware families.

What we’re doing here is so critical. Sitting down, not as Democrats and Republicans, but as Americans, to say, ‘How do we get this American Dream to truly work for everyone?’

Today is a sobering reminder that nobody is immune from the devastation of gun violence.

This is a national imperative. We cannot reignite the American Dream if this is how long it takes to build things.
