Too often, we have seen what happens when technology outpaces regulation: the unbridled exploitation of personal data, the proliferation of disinformation, and the deepening of societal inequalities.

For anyone, including my colleagues in the Senate, on both sides of the aisle, to believe that this is normal, acceptable conduct... is unacceptable.
