Education is one of those that could "pay the price," quote, unquote, if we just had a sort of lopsided approach to dealing with sequestration.

If there is a gap in terms of, you know, the rules versus your operating, we want that information because, frankly, there are other ways to solve that problem rather than weakening standards.

I think, you know, expressed a pretty powerful support for maintaining the nutritional standards that were in the 2010 bill.

This is still a flawed mechanism; that the incidence of tax is gonna hit basically regions of the country geographically.

The fact is it was the Senate Finance Committee that, frankly, adopted a lot of economic thought, that taxing health benefits has been a mistake in America going back to World War II.

Rates went down. They didn't go up in 2015. The savings were in the millions to both small employers, individual health care plans, and across the board.

Why can't people like yourself, sir, be honest with the American people who pay our salaries, who pay for the military, and say, 'You know what? We need to rethink where we are.'

I think you will agree that this is a vital piece of our ability to execute the national military strategy regardless of area of responsibility.

But, frankly, it was nothing but high praise from the Navy partners in terms of the work that the Coast Guard was doing in that mission.

The sort of economic fallout of the high debt that 20, 30, and frankly, even older Americans are carrying is, again, a bigger issue even than their own predicament; it is hindering economic growth in this country.
