We must also remember this spill had an impact on the Southern Ute Indian Tribe, Ute Mountain Ute, and the Navajo Nation.
We need solutions to address the acid mine drainage coming from all of these old abandoned mines.
the EPA was trying to remediate the mine, there is no denying that they caused this spill, and that is entirely unacceptable.
we need to pass Good Samaritan legislation to encourage counties, non-profits and companies to clean up abandoned mines throughout the West.
