I offer an amendment as a substitute for the amendment. Amendment offered by Mr. Fazio of California as a substitute for the amendment offered by Mr. Petri: At the end of the bill, insert after the last section (preceding the short title) the following new section: None of the funds made available in this act to pay the salary of any officer or employee of the Department of Interior may be used for the Animals-La Plata Project, in Colorado and New Mexico, except for (1) activities required to comply with the applicable provisions of current law; and (2) continuation of activities pursuant to the Colorado Ute Indian Water Rights settlement Act of 1988 (Pub. L. 100-585).
