As a recovering computer science major, I keep in mind that folks hacked computers well before the existence of the Internet.

My view is they don't have to hack 50 States. In a close Presidential election, they just need to hack one swing State.

So there was a Bloomberg article dated September 19 saying, 'States Ask Feds for Cybersecurity Scans Following Election Hacking Threats.'

Unfortunately, my Republican colleagues do not want to talk about these facts.

So a majority of Americans--Democrats, Republicans, and independents by the way--believe that this is our number one health care priority as a nation, number one.

As one of my constituents said to me, Congressman, I can get the treatment but can't get the cure. I can't afford the cure.

National health care spending has slowed even more significantly than projected when we passed the Affordable Care Act.

Premium increases have actually been lower than the Congressional Budget Office predicted when Congress passed the Affordable Care Act.

Let me be clear. I have told my staff, prescription drug prices and the unconscionable raising of those prices is one of my top three priorities in this Congress.

As a result, we now have the lowest uninsured rate in our nation's history.

Radicalization is a broader concept than just one religion or one ethnicity, and sooner or later this Congress has to come to grips with that.

It is the health care of Americans. We are all in this country right now. We are all on this planet right now.

I believe this committee is abusing taxpayer dollars and the authority of Congress in an astonishing onslaught of political attacks to damage Secretary Clinton's campaign for President of the United States of America.

Keep in mind that Director Comey said that this was an all-star group of FBI agents, an all-star group of FBI agents said unanimously that these gentlemen should not be charged.

I disagree with you about the excessive, in my view, focus on Hillary Clinton.

This entire hearing is a contrived campaign photo op.

There's a legitimate basis to inquire as to what happened. But we've done it.

The point of today's hearing is to investigate baseless Republican accusations that Secretary Clinton or her aides ordered the destruction of emails to conceal them from investigators.

Step one, publicly accuse the witnesses of criminal activity no matter how ludicrous, and then refer them to U.S. Attorneys' Office for criminal investigation.

The repetition of the question that raises the apprehension that the Chinese or the Russians are making this determined effort to hack into accounts and focusing it all on Hillary Clinton acts as though that intentionality of the Russians…

He went through every single thing, every single email. And he came to the conclusion that there was no criminal conduct.

We should make no apologies for acting like a superpower. We should use the tools that the Congress has given you and just do it.

What this is telling me is that one entire agency of the Federal Government, ICE, believes the State Department is so weak, so incompetent on this issue that they don't think it is worth their time to notify the State Department.

It is clear to me ICE should have notified the State Department. That was a failure.

I find it absurd that we cannot return foreign nationals that have been convicted of heinous crimes back to their home country.
