It breaks my heart every time I hear about children in our community who are trying to do their homework on a mobile device outside their school because they don't have internet access at home.

When the Mayor of America's 5th largest city is not being allowed to provide meaningful input on important national policy that will affect his and all communities in the country, something is wrong with this process.

The urgency of this moment will not reward – and our children will not forgive – torpidity.

We can't leave people further behind in the process.
