It is the least we can do, and it is a modest bill. We could do better. We should do better. We have never had a modest tax cut coming from the other side of the aisle. It is only modest when we try to help the least fortunate among us. So while one never looks a gift horse in the mouth, I am sure that the few people it does help will be happy. I intend to support the bill. I only wish that we could have had the leadership to do better for more people in this country.
